In Brest, efforts are made to rescue emaciated deer from a closed mini-zoo
The animals are still in the former mini-zoo in May 1st Park, which operated for almost 20 years but was closed in 2025. Despite this, some of the animals were never moved from there — including two deer, writes Tochka.by.

Earlier, animal rights activists and volunteers repeatedly criticized the conditions of confinement in this mini-zoo: people complained about cramped enclosures, lack of food, and the poor condition of the animals.
Now, volunteers are raising money to buy the deer and transport them to "Brest Stork House," where they are ready to provide them with proper conditions. However, it's not possible to do this for free — previous attempts to negotiate with the animal owners yielded no results, and even organizations interested in them refused due to the high price, especially since the deer are not young.
According to volunteers, the animals look emaciated and neglected. To save them, about 3850 rubles are needed.
If the necessary amount is collected, this story will have a chance for a happy ending, and the deer will be able to live in much better conditions.
