Flo Tops Sifted Consumer 100 Ranking of Europe's Best Consumer Tech Companies

Flo took first place in the debut Sifted Consumer 100 ranking. This is the first annual list of breakthrough European consumer startups, which evaluates the pace of investment attraction, team growth, audience engagement, and their trust in the brand, writes Devby.

The winner was announced at the SXSW ceremony in London. The jury evaluated nominees based on three key criteria: reach (how widely the product is adopted by the market), habit (how deeply it is integrated into users' daily lives), and hype (the cultural momentum around the brand). According to Sifted experts, the app with Belarusian roots managed to make the key transition — from a niche product to a common norm of life for millions.

"What makes this recognition particularly significant is what it says about the future of women's health. For too long, the technology industry has overlooked this area. Today, more than 81 million people monthly trust Flo, proving that women's health is not a niche category, but an important part of everyday life," noted Flo Health CFO Tamara Orlova.

In addition to an impressive MAU base, the unprecedented data security was a key factor in Flo's victory in the European market, as stated in the press release dedicated to this achievement. The platform remains the only femtech application that annually confirms dual independent certification for security (ISO 27001) and privacy management (ISO 27701, directly related to GDPR requirements). And the "anonymous mode" developed by the company, protected by post-quantum encryption, allows tracking menstrual cycles and pregnancy without linking to personal user identifiers.

Being included in the ranking is especially valuable given the publication's status. Sifted was created with the support of the Financial Times and is a leading European media outlet for technology and startups, which investors and founders follow for innovations in the region. Their analytics are trusted by top managers and major funds, so recognition from such an editorial board is a mark of quality for any startup on the international arena.
