In new apartments, residents can regulate the heating supply themselves and do not suffer from hot water disconnections, which have just begun these days.
The construction of modern housing is laid out in the country's state program for the five-year period. Thus, from 2026 to 2030, 2 million m2 of electric houses should be built. It is in them that people will live without seasonal water shutdowns, writes Tochka.by.
Because in such multi-story buildings, electricity is used both for cooking and for heating.
And despite the fact that Minsk has enough engineering networks and heat pipelines, similar buildings are also being built in the capital. Currently, the city already has 96.5 thousand m2 of electric housing.
"A number of electric houses are under construction. This includes "Utulny", which is fully supplied with electricity, a large site on Vyhotskaha Street, and a microdistrict in Smalyavichy," said Iryna Hontarava, Chairwoman of the Construction and Investment Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
She assured that the significant use of electricity in such homes does not affect the communal budget. Residents pay an almost standard amount for utility services here.
At the same time, in such apartments, one can independently regulate the temperature and humidity, and also avoid washing in basins due to hot water disconnections.
