Kuwaiti Air Defense mistakenly shot down three American planes at once
Three American F-15 fighter jets were mistakenly shot down over Kuwait by "friendly fire."
According to a statement from the US military department, the incident occurred during a period of high activity in the airspace, when Kuwait's air defense systems were operating in full combat readiness mode.
"During active combat operations, which included attacks by Iranian aviation, ballistic missiles, and drones, US Air Force fighters were mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti air defense systems," the US Central Command said in a statement.
