Remember the former border guard who became a long-haul truck driver and confessed his love for Lukashenka in Germany? He's in trouble
Aliaksandr Ahapau decided to save money on insurance. And when he felt unwell during his shift, he was afraid to call an ambulance to avoid overpaying — and waited three days with a stroke for his relief driver.

Recall that Aliaksandr Ahapau gained his moment of fame when he participated in a survey by Russian-speaking blogger Adinaev in Germany.
Aliaksandr, who was then a truck driver from Brest, confessed his love for Lukashenka and said that 99% of Belarusians supported him. The video was published last year but went viral again this year.
As "Nasha Niva" found out, the video's protagonist was previously a border guard — he can be seen in the corresponding uniform in BelTA photographs from last year.
Now he is a truck driver. Aliaksandr also develops his blog on TikTok and has over 15,000 subscribers.
But recently, he got into trouble — this was revealed by his friend, a truck driver-blogger who runs a TikTok account under the nickname "Barada na suviazi" (Beard in touch). According to him, Aliaksandr Ahapau decided to save money on insurance:
"We come here to earn money and try to save not only on our stomachs but also on our health. The price of life is only about 20-30 euros per month."
The blogger clarified that Aliaksandr felt unwell during his shift. He contacted his employer, but the employer frightened him with potential bills for calling an ambulance — a sum of 500 euros was mentioned. He was told that the driver would have to pay everything himself.
— Aliaksandr had a stroke. He suffered for three days, after which a relief driver arrived, picked him up — and took him by shuttle bus to the Belarusian border. Immediately from the border, an ambulance picked him up, taking him to the operating table. They performed a trepanation of his skull — and at that moment, a second stroke occurred. A healthy man — doesn't drink, plays sports, helps people…
As proof, the narrator included a joint video with Aliaksandr, where he urged all truck drivers to help each other. He recounted how he was left without food, and Moldovans gave him sausage, and Ukrainians — bread. He said that he himself does not pass by someone else's trouble.
As far as is known, everything happened in the Netherlands back in March — an aneurysm rupture. Aliaksandr's life was saved in Minsk. Precious time was lost — the operation needed to be done within the first three days. But the truck driver then waited for his relief driver to pick him up, instead of seeking medical help.
Ahapau is currently being treated in one of Brest's hospitals. Doctors' prognoses are not very optimistic — the man will most likely not be able to fully recover.
