There will be no deal between the US and Iran if the latter intends to possess nuclear weapons. This was stated by the US President in an interview with Fox Business.

"Firstly, if they don't do that (don't give up their intention to possess nuclear weapons), there will be no deal. Okay, so there will be no deal. This whole story essentially boils down to the fact that there should be no nuclear weapons — they cannot have nuclear weapons," the US President said.
Washington has long demanded that Tehran abandon its own nuclear weapons. Iran, in turn, insists on its right to continue uranium enrichment.
The Republic does not seek to possess nuclear weapons but has the right to peaceful atomic energy, President Masoud Pezeshkian noted.
