Drone struck power substation in Belgorod. Part of the city left without power

Belgorod Oblast Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that two drones attacked Belgorod in the morning, resulting in "a fire at an energy infrastructure facility".

The strike targeted the "Yuzhnaya" (Southern) power substation in Belgorod, according to the "Pepel" (Ashes) publication. A fire broke out at the facility after the explosion, which was later extinguished. The equipment sustained minor damage.

Electricity went out in the city center and on some streets in the substation's vicinity; in some cases, water also went out. Traffic lights stopped working on several streets.

The publication notes that city power engineers "specifically disconnected the substation from power" to avoid short circuits during fire extinguishing.
