Travel Agencies Report Flight Cancellations to Thailand. This May Be an Echo of the War in Iran
Travel agents and those who planned to spend their vacation in Thailand in the coming month are reporting on social media about the cancellation of direct flights to Pattaya and Phuket from Minsk. What happened, writes Onliner.

“Direct flights to Pattaya from Minsk have been cancelled starting May 12. But we will get through this — we hope this destination will return in winter,” wrote Mallina Travel studio yesterday on Threads.
Journalists contacted representatives of the travel agency and asked about the alleged reasons for the flight cancellations. They noted that the decision by the domestic airline was logical, as the season had reportedly ended. “Direct flights from Moscow were available, and some operators still offer them,” the company added.
In a post by the travel agency "Nakhodka", other dates are mentioned: "Yesterday, flights to Pattaya from Minsk (departures from May 14) were removed, today — to Phuket (departures from May 17)."
The agency told the publication the following:
— The end of the high season in Thailand and a decrease in the economic efficiency of transportation. Most likely, the main reason is the sharp increase in the cost of aviation fuel in Asia due to events in Iran.
The agency also clarified: Aerobelservice (one of the leading Belarusian tour operators and aviation brokers) also warned on April 24 about the cancellation of all flights to Da Nang (Vietnam). They cited "unexpected economic circumstances."
