Minsk World Homes Flooded Again: Water Gushed from Ceiling, Knocking Out Lamps

A heavy downpour occurred in Minsk on July 11. It particularly affected the Minsk World quarter, specifically the 'Salonica' and 'Singapore' houses. In videos published by Onliner, water can be seen pouring from the ceiling.
The footage shows the entrance hall of the first floor of the 'Salonica' house: streams of water from the ceiling are visible in several places, and a falling lamp is also visible.

Representatives of the Minsk World residential complex commented on the situation.
"Today, as a result of an unusually heavy downpour, local flooding of roads was recorded in certain areas of the complex, and the lobby of a residential building was also flooded," the response states.
Immediately after receiving the information, specialists from the managing organization LLC 'Happy Planet' arrived on site. To identify the cause of the flooding, the decorative layer of the ceiling slab was opened. Based on its results, it was determined that the cause was the displacement of the internal stormwater system pipeline connection due to pressure that arose in the external stormwater drainage system during intense precipitation.
Specialists of the managing organization carried out restoration work on the damaged section of the internal stormwater system of the residential building. Work to eliminate the consequences of the flooding is currently ongoing."
