In Minsk, on the bank of Tsyanyanka, a service dog of the Ministry of Emergency Situations bit several dogs. Rescuers are ready to help them
On May 4, a reader contacted the editorial office of "Onliner". She reported that on Sunday, during a walk in "Lakeside Park," her pet was attacked by a dog "that escaped from the MES center." According to the girl, "the Alabai bit at least three dogs." Her pet ended up in the clinic with a fractured 4 ribs and a punctured lung.
The girl, named Anastasia, claimed that the dog was free-roaming, without a muzzle. According to her data, a similar incident already occurred in winter.
Journalists contacted the Ministry of Emergency Situations for comment on the situation. They were assured that the situation was under control, and soon an official video response was released.
"Yes, indeed, an incident occurred yesterday on the bank of the Tsnyanka reservoir involving our guard dog, as a result of which other random dogs and, consequently, their owners, suffered.
Undoubtedly, we understand the owners' concerns. Immediately after the incident, we sought contact with the owners of the injured dogs, offering, naturally, financial assistance and help in finding veterinary clinics. Contacts have been established, and we are in direct interaction with those affected.
Today, one of the dogs - a Maltese Bolognese - required a blood transfusion. Our guard dog acted as a donor, the same dog that, unfortunately, is responsible for the situation. This dog has been guarding our restricted unit for five years.
Undoubtedly, we will take all measures to prevent such an occurrence again. I reiterate that we cover all associated costs for treatment and further rehabilitation of the dogs. We are ready to provide any assistance needed at the first call. And truly sincerely, as a dog owner myself, I apologize," said Oleg Styapuk, head of the diving and rescue service center.
By the way, the breed of the guard dog is a Central Asian Shepherd Dog. As for one of the injured dogs, Molly, she is currently undergoing treatment.

According to her owner, "the prognosis is very sad." The dog has a difficult fate: she was rescued from dishonest breeders in very poor condition. During sterilization, Molly's heart stopped, but she was saved.
Anastasia reports on the dog's condition on social networks, and thousands of people are following her well-being. Reportedly, Molly will need surgery in the coming days.
