Aliaksandra Sasnovich failed to qualify for the main draw of Roland Garros
In the qualifying final, the Belarusian tennis player lost to Spain's Marina Bassols — 6:7, 5:7.

The main stage of the French Open (Roland Garros) starts on Sunday. World number one Aryna Sabalenka will play against Spain's Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in the first round.
Last year, Sabalenka reached the tournament final, where she lost to Coco Gauff.
Therefore, according to the rules, she will defend 1300 points awarded for the final (2000 points are given for a victory).
However, Aryna may lose her world number one ranking based on the tournament's results. Currently, the Belarusian's lead over Elena Rybakina, who holds the second spot, is 1255 points. If Rybakina wins Roland Garros, she will become the world number one, provided Sabalenka loses in the semi-finals or earlier.
If the Belarusian reaches the final, even in the event of a loss to Elena in the decisive match, Aryna will retain her first position in the world ranking.
