Maksim Shchur became the laureate of "Hlinyany Viales" this year
Maksim Shchur, a Belarusian poet living in the Czech Republic, received the award for his book of selected post-poetry "Chayny Zbor" (Tea Collection), reports Radio Racyja.

The short-list included: two novels, one collection of short stories, one book of plays, one journalistic and one essayistic book; as well as three books of poetry. One can say that the short-list of the literary award gathered almost all major genres of literature.
Hlinyany Viales (Clay Veles) is an annual literary award, founded in 1993 by members of the Society of Free Literati. The chairman of the organizing committee is Ales Arkush. It is awarded for the best Belarusian-language artistic book of the year.
The laureate receives a symbolic award — a clay idol of the patron of art. One can only become a laureate of the award once.
The award is presented in May.
