On Monday night, flights at Vilnius Airport were restricted. Suspected contraband balloons were detected, reports LRT.

"At 01:18, a partial restriction of the airspace over Vilnius Airport was introduced due to a hybrid attack from Belarus (...), navigation readings characteristic of balloons were detected in areas dangerous for aviation. Vilnius Airport resumed operations at 04:00, and airspace restrictions were lifted," states the message from Lithuanian Airports.
As a result of the temporary restriction, five flights and about 453 passengers were affected. Four aircraft were diverted to other airports, two of them to Kaunas, and one flight was cancelled.
Vilmantas Vitkauskas, head of the National Crisis Management Center, says that five contraband balloons were detected last night.
