Russia started assembling special BMW X6. Dealers refuse to take this "constructor set"

The Kaliningrad "Avtotor" plant has started production of BMW X6 40d crossovers. Vehicles in a similar version of Russian assembly were not sold even before 2022, when BMW officially had production in Kaliningrad. But dealers don't want to take them, writes Autonews.
In Russia, the entire line of large BMW crossovers — X5, X6, and X7 — is assembled. A special feature of the new BMW X6 are the 40d versions with the AdBlue exhaust cleaning system. But these are still old body styles and not Chinese versions.
Dealers do not want to take these cars.
The "AutoAvangard" dealership says they don't have such vehicles. According to a company representative, it could be about body shells and car kits that remained at the enterprise from 2021-2022 and were later completed.
He also noted that such cars raise questions from the point of view of identification and further maintenance. In his opinion, these crossovers will not be recognized by official BMW services.
"It is impossible to get information about the configuration and history of the car by VIN number. It is not entirely clear which specific units and aggregates are installed there," added the company representative.
The "Autoport" dealership said that
"even cars assembled from remaining car kits have nothing in common with full-fledged BMWs, and the brand itself has no relation to their production."
"The BMW representative office does not recognize such cars. In essence, it's a constructor set, assembled from leftover kits," stated a company employee.
He also warned that owners of such cars risk facing difficulties with technical maintenance.
