In the first half, the Bosnians looked more confident, and it was they who opened the scoring: in the 21st minute, Jova Lukić struck an accurate and powerful shot, giving his team the lead.
The Canadians, although considered favorites as the home team, struggled to respond with a goal for a long time. In the second half, they significantly increased their tempo and pressure, but only in the 78th minute were they able to equalize: Cyle Larin seized the moment and scored.
Towards the end of the match, both teams had chances to snatch a victory, but the goalkeepers and defense performed reliably, and the 1:1 score remained unchanged.
Group B also includes the national teams of Qatar and Switzerland. Their match will begin on Saturday evening, at 22:00 Minsk time. And tonight, at 4:00 AM, the Group C match USA — Paraguay will begin.
Earlier in Group A, Mexico defeated South Africa 2:0, and South Korea beat the Czech Republic 2:1.
