Suburban trains between Belarus and Russia on new routes — from Velikiye Luki to Vitebsk and Polotsk, as well as between Bryansk and Gomel — are planned to be launched in 2027, said the head of Russian Railways, Alexander Sakharov, writes "Sputnik".
According to him, taking into account the positive dynamics of cross-border railway connections, new projects are being worked out jointly with Belarusian colleagues.
The first suburban trains from Smolensk to Orsha and Vitebsk were launched this April.
