Roskomnadzor employee who participated in "SMO" and his children died in an attack on a tourist base in occupied Kyrylivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During a strike on a recreation base in the occupied village of Kyrylivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the head of the local department of the Main Radio Frequency Center, 54-year-old Mikhail Ivanov, and his two minor children died, Roskomnadzor reported. The deceased official served in the Russian army for more than 20 years.

«It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mikhail Vladimirovich Ivanov — head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast department of the FSUE «Main Radio Frequency Center» branch in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol — and his minor children… The staff of the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technologies and Mass Media and the Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Main Radio Frequency Center» express their sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of Mikhail Vladimirovich, Katya, and Andrey — in this difficult hour, we mourn with you,» Roskomnadzor's statement reads.

The age of the deceased children is not specified.

Ivanov's wife also sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Mikhail Ivanov was 54 years old, writes «Astra». He served in the Russian Armed Forces for over 20 years, and from May 2023, he headed the GRCC department for Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

From September 2025 to March 2026, Ivanov participated in the «SMO».

GRCC is the Main Radio Frequency Center, subordinate to Roskomnadzor, which controls the use of radio frequencies and the operation of communication facilities in Russia.

On the night of July 25, Ukraine attacked a recreation base in occupied Kyrylivka on the Sea of Azov. 12 people died, including five children. 19 were injured. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation launched a criminal case on an act of terrorism.

The Ukrainian publication «RIA Pivden» from Melitopol writes that the destroyed recreation bases «Aleon» and «Beluga» were used by Russian military personnel.

According to journalists, Russian officers were stationed at the «Aleon» base, and security forces and military leadership stayed at «Beluga». At the same time, the publication confirms that civilians lived in some rooms. There is no official confirmation of this information.
