Barysaŭ resident sued her former employer for 38 thousand rubles — she was wrongfully dismissed

A resident of Barysaŭ, who had worked for the organization for half a year, was dismissed in violation of labor law. She went to court.

The woman got a job at the organization as a chief specialist in the water supply and sewerage department in July 2025, Onliner reports. After six months, she believed that the employer was violating labor law, and resigned.

On the day of her dismissal, she was not paid, although she was supposed to receive her salary from November 2025 to January 2026, compensation for unused vacation, and early termination of her contract.

The court sided with the former employee. The decision states that, by law, all sums must be paid to the employee no later than the day of dismissal. If this did not happen due to the employer's fault, the employee has the right to demand the average salary for each day of delay.

As a result, the court recovered 24 thousand rubles in favor of the former employee — this includes salary arrears, compensation for unused vacation, and early termination of the contract. Additionally, the court ordered the organization to pay 14 thousand rubles in average earnings for the delay in final settlement.

The decision has entered into legal force.
