Blogger Zolkin, who conducted a scandalous interview with Babaryka, has been mobilized
Ukrainian blogger Volodymyr Zolkin, who became known for his interviews with Russian servicemen, has been mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He himself told the publication "Detector Media" about this.

Zolkin joined the army back in April. He completed basic combined-arms training and now serves as an operator in the radio-electronic reconnaissance platoon of the 91st separate anti-tank battalion. The blogger is currently located in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Zolkin only now published a photo in military uniform. According to him, he previously did not want to reveal the fact of his service until he had moved to combat positions. The blogger commented on his mobilization with the words: "Everyone needs to be mobilized."
The day before, he ironically hinted at military service by posting a photo in AFU uniform on social media.
Earlier, questions arose around Zolkin concerning his military registration. In March, Verkhovna Rada MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported that the blogger had been removed from general military registration and was granted a reservation from the Main Intelligence Directorate. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirmed that Zolkin had been transferred to special registration by one of the special services, but did not specify which one.
Later, according to Zheleznyak's information, the reservation was canceled. In addition, the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine reported two criminal investigations against Zolkin — under articles concerning the legalization of property obtained by criminal means and tax evasion. However, no official charges have been brought against the blogger.
Volodymyr Zolkin became widely known both in Ukraine and beyond when, after the start of the full-scale war with Russia, he began conducting interviews with Russian prisoners of war. When some Belarusian political prisoners were released last December with expulsion through Ukraine, Zolkin took advantage of the situation to interview Viktar Babaryka. That interview caused a great stir because during it, Babaryka failed to clearly answer the question of whose Crimea it was.
