Yesterday, the ex-political prisoner, who spent five years in Lukashenka's dungeons, turned 48 years old. Representatives of the Californian diaspora, where the public figure currently lives, presented him with a cake with an "Oscar", a clapperboard, and a star from the "Walk of Fame".
Sergei Tsikhanouski was released in June 2025, lived in Vilnius for some time, and then moved to the USA. There he initially lived with his children in Miami, and eventually moved to Los Angeles.
«Today in Los Angeles, I am studying English, preparing to enter university, writing a book, and engaging in creative work. I am also grateful to everyone who supported me after my release. Adapting to life at liberty is not an easy test. Every new day reminds me how precious family, freedom, and the opportunity to speak the truth are»," he recounted.
In early August, Tsikhanouski presented his own YouTube channel, where he publishes his poems and fairy tales written during his imprisonment.
