‘Pub House’ in Brest, Belarus, turned into ruins in two days.
‘Pub House’ was one of few beer bars in Brest and it was open for visitor as far as June 9. However, several days later Brest residents noticed that the bar turned into ruins. One may think the building was planned to be demolished, but it was the owner who crushed the venue.
The reason was in a competitor enterprise that tried to take over the pub building since 2005.
According to the owner, she bought the building in 2004 and fully modernized it. However, a one more company appeared saying it had the preliminary contract for the purchase of the building since 2002. It is unclear where the ‘old’ owners had been until 2005, but the current business holder says all papers were faked.
However, after 7 years of court trials, the court decided to confiscate the building.
The desperate owner thought of nothing else but to crash the building in order to not let the new proprietor use the building at once.
The owner’s actions are fully legal as the court’s decision hasn’t taken effect yet. However, Brest lost one of its most popular venues.
