Minsk traffic police started patrolling the approaches to schools in Minsk early in the morning, at shifts change and in the evening when students leave schools.
The traffic police also considers possible introduction of “stop-men” who are to control traffic near schools.
It is also reported that street lamps were lit near the school No. 23. The photos below show the maintenance workers who replace lamps at 10:10 Minsk time.
This became the reaction to the traffic accident that occurred on November 13 when a 9-year school boy was run over a Porsche Cayenne crossover and died.
The accident caused a wide social response and was mentioned by Lukashenka who criticised school administration, parents who leave their cars near the entrances and also the road police.
