The Committee for State Security of Belarus (KGB) published the official statement in accordance with the explosion in Viciebsk.
“On November 11, 2012, at 18:48 a primitive homemade pyrotechnic unit exploded near the building of the Administration of the KGB of the Viciebsk Region. The explosion damaged two windows,” the announcement says.
The KGB describes a bomb as a “plastic tube filled with 50–70 grammes of pyrotechnical mixture. The tube was placed in a .25—.33l aluminum can. The bomb was triggered by open fire.
“Three persons were arrested based on the urgent investigation and the witnesses’ testimonies. One of them — with the visible signs of abnormal behaviour — has already called the KGB and criticised the authorities in an impolite way. The criminal case according to the article 399 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (hooliganism) was initiated. The investigators continue working at the explosion site.”
