The Trade Union of Russian Citizens accuses the singer of homosexuality propaganda.
The pro-Kremlin Trade Union of Russian Citizens and activists of other civil organizations would like to fine Madonna and the organizers of singer’s St. Petersburg show for 333mln Russian rubles ($10.5mln) for homosexuality propaganda at her concert in St. Petersburg. In St. Petersburg, there is a city law which prohibits homosexuality propaganda among people under age, BBC says.
At her show in Moscow, Madonna supported the members of Pussy Riot punk rock band who are now waiting for the decision by the court. In St. Petersburg, Madonna stood up for the local LGBT community as they are prohibited to openly show their orientation because such actions are fall under the the law banning homosexuality propaganda.
Madonna said all homosexuals have equal rights for respect, equality and love from the stage.
