Such information was provided for Nasha Niva by painter Alies Cyrkunou.
Alies Pushkin was arrested together with Alies Cyrkunou, Valiancin Varanishch, Hienadz Drazdou and Uladzimir Shulzhycki on September 2. The artists were charged with unauthorised demonstration as they walked across the town of Smarhon, Belarus, with the portraits of Rascislau Lapicki — a prominent anti-communist activist — thus commemorating him.
The judge stated Alies Pushkin to be the organizer of the rally. However, nothing of the kind hasn’t been mentioned before.
All the painters except Alies Pushkin were fined, but the trial over him was delayed until today.
