Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy named Ukraine's "red lines" for peace negotiations before the meeting of presidents in the USA.
These are territorial issues, the ZNPP, and security guarantees.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine.
Zelenskyy noted that work is underway to minimize the number of unresolved issues.
"Certainly, there are 'red lines' for Ukraine, and I am confident that there are compromise proposals from the Americans, we know them, and, probably, our enemy also has its own goals. All these issues are very sensitive. These are both territories and the ZNPP. You know my position – legally, we will not recognize anything under any circumstances. If there are updated approaches, we will, of course, communicate with the people before this or that decision," he stated.
According to him, the question of discussion with society is whether it will be a referendum or other legislative changes.
"But the most important thing is security guarantees. In addition to territorial issues, the ZNPP, there are security guarantees that are very important to us," he clarified.
The Ukrainian side presented an updated version of the peace plan, consisting of 20 points. The document is based on an earlier proposal of 28 points prepared by Donald Trump's team. Among the key elements of the plan is the idea of creating a demilitarized "free economic zone."
Russia's reaction remains restrained for now. At the same time, Moscow's main demand, according to available information, is Ukraine's refusal of part of the Donetsk region.
US President Donald Trump commented on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's upcoming visit with a peace plan proposal, noting that the Ukrainian leader will not be able to advance his initiatives until they receive approval from the American side.
