Ukrainian singer Tina Karol faced sharp criticism from internet users because of a song about the lack of electricity, water, and heat in Ukrainians' homes. The artist even had to publicly respond to the accusations, writes UNIAN.

Recently, Tina Karol published a video where she performs a song with lyrics about how, even without light and warmth, people still have kindness, unity, and family. However, against the backdrop of the difficult situation in the country's energy system, many perceived this track negatively.
In the comments, users accused the singer of the inappropriateness of such creativity at this time, its detachment from reality, and even wrote that with this song she "buried her career." Some questioned for whom this was even intended, claiming that such a song now looked like mockery of people.
In response, Tina Karol wrote on her Telegram channel that the song is not new at all — it's already about two years old, and its author Danylo Horodetskyi released it in the spring of 2023. The singer explained that her goal was to at least somewhat support people and "add light to their souls."
She posted a video with an apology on social media.
Karol emphasized that everyone without exception is having a hard time now — it's cold, unpleasant, and sad. According to the singer, the main meaning of the song is about human warmth and mutual support. Tina Karol also noted that she herself uses a generator, but pays for its operation with her own money, and, like everyone else, is struggling with the crisis.
She called the accusations that the song was allegedly commissioned by the authorities "absolute nonsense."
