Melania Trump called on Minneapolis protesters to renounce violence

By violence, the wife of the US president meant Americans' protests against police brutality, not what caused them.

Amidst protests following the killing of Alex Pretli by ICE agents in Minneapolis, US First Lady Melania Trump addressed Americans, BILD writes.

"We must unite. I call for unity. [...] I am against violence," Melania stated.

By violence, however, the wife of the US president meant the protests, not their cause.

Melania said nothing about the actions of ICE agents, due to which two people have died in Minneapolis in recent weeks.

"Please, if you are protesting, protest peacefully. We must stick together at this time," she concluded her appeal.

According to her, her husband Donald Trump had excellent conversations with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, and they are all working together to achieve peaceful coexistence.

Following the start of the protests, Trump made it clear he was ready for compromises. The Republican himself called the negotiations with Walz and Frey (both Democrats) "very good" and "very respectful" — a completely different tone than usual.

Just recently, Trump had called Walz, who ran alongside Kamala Harris for the US vice-presidency, "very stupid," "corrupt," and a "terrible governor." But now he appears to have backed down. Moreover, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey announced after a phone call with Trump that some federal employees would be withdrawn from the city.

    > Пад гвалтам жонка прэзідэнта ЗША мела на ўвазе пратэсты амерыканцаў супраць паліцэйскага гвалту, а не тое, што іх выклікала

А як бяз гвалту высяліць хаця б 15 млн. нелегалаў, што засяліліся толькі за 4 байдэнаўскіх года? Мо, пав.рэдакцыя мае адказ?
