Belarusians noticed four Moons in the sky at once PHOTO FACT

On the night of February 2, residents of Belarus could observe a rare atmospheric phenomenon: not one Moon shone in the sky, but four at once. True, three of them were optical illusions, writes Blizko.by.

This rare atmospheric phenomenon is called a paraselene or "false Moon".

In frosty air, the light of the real Moon refracts in ice crystals, causing deceptive light disks to appear next to it. In this case, there were as many as three.
