Kyiv has agreed with Western partners that systematic violations by Russia of any future ceasefire agreement will trigger a coordinated military response from Europe and the US, writes the Financial Times, citing sources.

Ukrainian, European, and American representatives discussed this plan in Paris in December and January.

A violation of the ceasefire regime will entail responsive actions within 24 hours. First, a diplomatic warning will be issued, and all necessary measures will be taken by the Ukrainian army to stop the violation.

If the violation continues, a second phase of intervention will be introduced, using forces from a "coalition of the willing," which includes many EU countries.

If the violation escalates into a large-scale offensive, then within 72 hours, a coordinated military response from Western-backed forces, involving US armed forces, will come into effect, FT sources report.
