The response from the Mazovian Voivode states that during the check, it was established that the Belarusian citizen was penalized for a traffic violation with a fine of 200 zlotys (about 50 dollars). The Belarusian was fined on August 17, 2021, and paid this fine just two days later, on August 19.
«The fine imposed on the foreigner indicates that the foreigner does not respect and does not comply with Polish law,» the response states.
It also notes that the Belarusian's behavior is an example of «ignoring Polish law».

It is unknown exactly why the Belarusian received the fine, but its small size, against the backdrop of very high fines for traffic violations in Poland, suggests that it was most likely a very minor offense.
Currently, foreign citizens seeking to obtain a Polish passport are being thoroughly vetted. In addition to the Internal Security Agency, police, and border guard, inquiries are also sent to tax and transport inspectorates and the municipal police (Straż miejska).
