Russian "war correspondents" report communication collapse after Starlink blockade
Russian "war correspondents" attest to a complete blockade of Starlink for Russian troops. Elon Musk introduced "white lists" for Starlink terminals, which blocked network access for Russian units. Z-channels complain about critical technological lagging behind the "enemy," loss of combat control, and the inability to broadcast drone signals in real-time.
Elon Musk announced the necessity of mandatory registration for Starlink terminals for those located in Ukraine. This step means launching a so-called "white list," according to which only officially verified devices will operate, effectively making satellite communication impossible for Russian units.

According to information from the Telegram channel @insiderUKR, approximately 550,000 stations used by the Russian Armed Forces through illegal procurement schemes fell under the blockade.
This led to serious problems with the troop command system in various sectors of the front. It is reported that Russian assault operations in many directions were suspended due to loss of communication and the inability to coordinate units in real-time.
"Starlink blockade: Elon Musk serves the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The P*ndos confirmed on social network X that for Starlink terminals to work in Ukraine, equipment must be registered with Ukrainian state bodies . This may explain the massive failure of terminals at the front. In this way, the "genius" once again helped the Armed Forces of Ukraine in killing our soldiers. The fact is that in the absence of alternatives, the Russian Armed Forces use grey "Starlinks" to organize communication at the front... Now either the old way, or something of our own must be urgently invented." "Two Majors"
"White lists for Starlink have been officially activated in Ukraine. No terminal reboots will help... This will hit the forward assault groups establishing positions the hardest, for example, in Kupyansk. They have lost all ability to communicate with the mainland. Communication has disappeared in all units of the Russian Armed Forces. Right now, everything has returned to the state of the beginning of the SVO in 2022, when there was absolutely no coordination between units, which led to the well-known outcome." Alex Parker Returns
"Almost 90% of my supervised units are without internet now. It will now sharply become clear that units without communication cannot operate effectively. What a surprise that will be for some in high offices." "Belarusian Silovik"
"There is simply no alternative to this satellite internet in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces, and much, including combat control, was tied to it, and everything was taken for granted." "Military Informant"
"This is called technological backwardness. If at key communication nodes and command posts the internet on Gazprom dishes works somehow, then UAV crews, RECCE/EW, fire support, and infantry positions are now without internet. This means no more broadcasts, no real-time battlefield picture, etc. Now, no matter what brilliant decisions commanders on the ground make, we will simply lose in the speed of making and implementing decisions on the battlefield." "Private Gubarev"
Previously, the Ukrainian side repeatedly appealed to SpaceX to restrict network access for the occupation forces, who were acquiring terminals through third countries.
The introduction of the "white list" allows Starlink to selectively disable devices that do not have official registration from Ukrainian law enforcement agencies or certified volunteer organizations.
