Russian state agency TASS asked Roman Pratasevich about his current work on the propaganda channel STB and how his experience working for the KGB helps on television.
Pratasevich replied that working for the KGB is one of the factors that additionally attract viewers' attention.
“Because it means both being tested by time and the accuracy of the information I provide,” he believes.
Pratasevich says he is still refining his style. “After all, I am still refining my style, the style of my program in certain words, in certain phrases, in certain expressions, [trying] to bring it to some general form. I think I am generally succeeding,” he says.
Pratasevich did not rule out participating in offline events over time. "It is possible that I will try to do, even within television, but some special projects that go beyond my program, if necessary. Especially if these are serious issues that I will have the opportunity to cover additionally, thanks in part to my past," he said, noting that he thus hopes "to contribute to national security issues."
In 2023, Roman Pratasevich, through whom a plane en route to Vilnius was forcibly landed in Minsk, was sentenced to eight years in a penal colony for extremist activities, but was soon pardoned.
