Remember Asol Slivets? The life of the freestylist has changed beyond recognition, now she is Abigail.
A week ago, for the first time in the history of modern Belarus, an ancient Jewish ceremony of signing a marriage contract — a ketubah — was held in Valozhyn. The participants were a couple from Minsk, Eyal and Abigail. It turned out that the bride is the very Assol Slivets, mother of five children.

In 2024, a yeshivot (yeshiva) was opened in Valozhyn after a large-scale reconstruction. This January, an ancient Jewish ceremony of signing a ketubah, or marriage contract, which is one of the most important parts of a wedding ceremony, took place here.
A couple from Minsk — Eyal and Abigail, parents of many children, whose union was officially registered by the state — came to Valozhyn for the signing. However, it took years to reach the moment of signing the marriage contract as an act of spiritual kinship.
Freestyle fans recognized the well-known freestyle skier Assol Slivets in the bride Eyal.

Assol repeatedly represented Belarus at the Olympic Games. In 2002, Slivets took thirteenth place, in 2006 — fifth, and in 2010 — fourth.
In 2011, the freestyle skier decided to represent another country in international competitions. Assol, together with her brother Timofey, moved to live and work in Sochi and became a citizen of Russia. She competed as part of the Russian team until 2014. Then, at her last Olympics, Assol took twelfth place.
After finishing her sports career, the freestyle skier returned to Belarus and began working as a coach.

For many years, Assol lived in marriage with Sergei Minin, the head coach of the national speed skating team. The couple had three sons, and they adopted another girl from an orphanage.
In interviews, the athlete often shared the secrets of her family happiness — talking about how to build relationships with her husband and raise four children.

In 2023, «Tribuna» learned that the famous athlete filed a lawsuit with the Moscow District Court of Minsk to collect alimony for the maintenance of children from Sergei Minin.

In February 2025, Assol became a mother once again — she gave birth to a son, and now she has five children in her family (her eldest son is already 17 years old).
Her new husband is named Aliaksandr (or Eyal).

У нас зпрадвек высока цанiлiся зяцi габрэi. Цанiлiся таму, што яны заусёды былi добрымi сямьянiнамi.
I гэта па ЗА-КО-НУ, i нiякiх адмазак "мы тут з сябрамi ..."!!!
Штой та я тут разыйшоуся. Карацей кажучы - ВIНШУЮ са шлюбам i вяртаннем да каранёў.
Няма такога пра "два разы ў тыдзень", ёсць абавязак аплодатварыць жонку.
