The author of the new Grodno travel pass design is a 17-year-old boy
In Grodno, 17-year-old Ruslan Bubnovich became the author of the design for the new city travel pass. His work won the competition organized by the city bus park in connection with the introduction of a new fare payment system — using validators and special plastic cards, similar to Minsk, writes "Grodno Pravda".
41 proposals were submitted for the competition, and the final choice was made by the residents of Grodno themselves through voting.
The idea to participate came to Ruslan just two days before the submission deadline, but he decided to give it a try. In a short time, the boy studied the experience of other cities, including Minsk and Moscow. He was inspired by the Moscow 'Troika' card, but he aimed to create his own, Grodno image.
As the main visual element, Ruslan chose the building of the dramatic theater, and he selected the color scheme considering the corporate style of the bus park. The result was a design that the citizens recognized as the most successful for the new travel pass.
Ruslan has been passionate about graphic design since he was 13. Initially, he independently mastered website creation, learning through free online courses. At 15, he won a grant to study at a design studio in St. Petersburg, which helped him enter the professional environment. Since then, the boy has been fulfilling orders not only for acquaintances but also for clients from abroad.
Currently, Ruslan combines work in Minsk with studies at Grodno State Humanitarian College. In addition, he is working on an educational project — creating a 3D model of a memorial complex, which he plans to complete by summer. The young man names participation in the decoration of Grodno City Day in 2028 as his main dream.
