Driver on summer tires dies in Pukhavichy district

A fatal road accident occurred on the evening of February 6 on the M-5 "Minsk — Gomel" highway in Pukhavichy district.

Around 8:40 PM, a 30-year-old Ford driver, moving towards Asipovichy, lost control of the car and crashed into a cable barrier. After the impact, the car was thrown onto the far right lane, where it was hit by an Infiniti driven by a 44-year-old man.

As a result of the accident, the Ford driver died on the spot. His 54-year-old passenger sustained injuries and was hospitalized.

It was later revealed that the Ford car had summer tires on its rear axle.
