The trial of journalist Pavel Dabravolski begins today

The political prisoner is accused of "treason against the state"; the hearing will take place in the Minsk City Court.

Pavel Dabravolski was detained on January 22, 2025. He faces up to 15 years in prison. On August 26, the human rights community recognized the journalist as a political prisoner.

The journalist previously worked for both Belarusian and foreign media.

Dabravolski's last place of work in Belarus was the information company BelaPAN, part of whose employees were declared an "extremist formation" by the KGB in 2021.
