Belarusian activist living in Ukraine banned from entering Poland for 10 years

Aliaksei Frantskevich learned about it at the border.

Aliaksei Frantskevich, chairman of the public union "Belarusian Community of Ukraine," had been living in Lviv for the past few years. On August 7, he was denied entry to Poland.

Frantskevich announced this on Facebook, adding that he was not given an explanation for the decision.

It later became known that the activist was banned from entering Poland for 10 years. He does not know the reasons.

Frantskevich first left the country before the 2006 elections. At that time, he received refugee status in the Czech Republic, but after returning to Belarus in 2015, he renounced it, though he had Czech permanent residency.
