Private sector near Svislach in Serebryanka to be demolished in Minsk. What will replace it?
Minsk has finally determined the fate of the private sector in the Serebryanka district near the Svislach river. The decision by the Minsk City Executive Committee on the approval of the urban planning project was published on the National Legal Portal and has already come into force. The document provides for the phased demolition of homestead buildings in the area of the former villages of Sheypichy and Dvorishchy, writes Blizko.by.

This refers to a plot of land covering approximately 286 hectares between Dzianisauskaya and Yakubava streets. According to the project, public spaces, recreation areas, and natural territories are planned to be created on the site of the current private houses.
Thus, in the area of Siamionava Street, on the site of the homestead development, it is intended to place areas for recreation, sports, and entertainment, as well as to improve and green the territory. In the area of Sheypichy Street, the detailed plan provides for the construction of public facilities.

In the eastern part of the site — near Yakubava and Dvorishchy streets — a nature park is planned. It will be used for quiet recreation, walks, sports activities, and cycling routes.
The project will be implemented in several stages. In the first stage, planned until 2027, the territory of the future nature park from the side of Yakubava Street is to be improved. Meanwhile, the homestead development in the areas of Siamionava, Sheypichy, and Dvorishchy streets will not be touched yet.
The main changes are planned for the second stage of project implementation, which should be completed by 2030. During this period, it is planned to demolish the existing homestead housing stock — a total of 105 houses — and fully implement the design solutions.
According to the document, the demolition will take place in stages. First, the territory of the former village of Sheypichy will undergo transformation, then work will begin in Dvorishchy, and in the final stage, it will be Siamionava Street's turn.
In addition, the project provides for the development of transport infrastructure. In particular, it is planned to build a tram line along Rakasouski Avenue and extend tram traffic along Yakubava Street to Malinina Street. The relocation of the current tram turning loop is also envisioned.
