Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told TASS the details of a new telephone conversation between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to Ushakov, Trump initiated the call. The conversation lasted about an hour and a half. The main focus was on the situation surrounding the conflict with Iran, as well as possible trilateral negotiations on settling the war between Russia and Ukraine.
It is noted that the parties discussed these issues quite concretely and exchanged views. Trump stated that he is interested in the war between Russia and Ukraine ending as soon as possible with a ceasefire and a subsequent long-term peaceful settlement.
He also emphasized the importance of regular contacts between the parties and suggested maintaining constant communication.
Ushakov emphasized that during the conversation, Putin "noted the successful advance of Russian military personnel during the SMO, which should push Kyiv towards negotiations."
The topic of Venezuela was also discussed during this conversation.
