Among others, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya participated in the procession — she recorded a short video greeting directly during the march.
In the evening, a large concert of Belarusian musicians, speeches by politicians and activists, as well as a festive fair with works by Belarusian craftsmen, books, and draniki (potato pancakes) from political prisoners are planned for Castle Square.
Musicians, including Belsat presenter Katsiaryna Vadanosava with her band, will perform for the rally participants. Performances by the band Shuma and the Volny Choir were also announced.
In general, meetings and events dedicated to Freedom Day began in various countries and cities as early as March 21. In Vilnius, a procession of local Belarusians took place on the evening of March 25.
