Mikhail Grebenyuk, a Russian, has a mixed reputation: some consider him a brilliant business coach, while others see him as another fraudster selling "successful success."
Media reported that Mikhail was born in Balashikha, near Moscow, into the family of an FSB major. His father dreamed of his son entering the FSB academy and also becoming a military man, but the young man chose a different path. He was involved in ballroom dancing for a long time, winning prizes at European championships, and then entered a pedagogical institute and studied to become a history teacher. He worked in his profession for two years, and then tried to start some kind of business.
Now Mikhail Grebenyuk teaches others how to earn crazy money. Video analyses are regularly published on his YouTube channel. They are done like this: Mikhail comes to a certain city, arranges a meeting under cameras with a local businessman, and in front of the audience, he analyzes complex business issues for his interlocutor. And at the same time, he sells his consulting services for creating sales departments.
During another analysis in Chelyabinsk, Mikhail spoke about his failure in Minsk (likely referring to 2018 — that's when the business coach held a personal training session in the Belarusian capital).
According to Mikhail, he once decided that his company should be international and opened its first branch in Minsk.
— I found some guys — partners who gathered people for my master class in Minsk. In Belarus, where every third resident is a police officer, not an entrepreneur. According to statistics, every third person there is a law enforcement officer, well, maybe every fourth. Where the entire population is like Moscow's Chertanovo. That is, the entire population of Belarus is 10 million people, while the population of Moscow alone is 25-30 million. And economically, per capita, you understand the difference — Moscow or Russia versus Belarus.
About 300 tickets were sold. The speaker planned to easily sell his other info-products from the stage, as always, but everything went off-plan.
— First I say: "Belarusians, raise your hand, who earns more than a million in net profit monthly?" (likely referring to Russian rubles. In 2018, this was about $15 thousand — NN). And no one raised a hand. Not because they don't earn it. But because they never answer such questions. Nowhere. To avoid trouble.
He says that questions about profits of 500 thousand and 2 million rubles (respectively, $7500 and $30 thousand per month — NN) also went unanswered. And when the coach asked who among the businessmen present wanted to grow significantly, he felt that people, on the contrary, even hid their hands.
— In short, this was the worst master class of my life. It was a complete failure. I stirred up pain points, emotions, presentation... Special offer: a discount for the first Belarusians to start working with our sales department... A discount, you can go and get it. When I did this in Russia, people went and bought. They made prepayments, strived to buy the first 20 packages...
But in Minsk, no one got up from their seat to take advantage of such an offer. Mikhail recalls standing on stage, 300 people looking at him with a smile, while employees at the tables stood waiting for something. The coach sighed and said: "Well, we have such an offer..." The audience reacted with quiet laughter.
— And I closed the branch in Belarus.

This video of Grebenyuk was noticed by Belarusian TikToker Sergei Zhushma, who is trying to follow Mikhail's path. Sergei calls himself the leader of the business club "Anomaly" (this is Grebenyuk's product) in Belarus. And he himself already promises to "reconfigure the mindset of entrepreneurs and the business model."
Sergei asks his subscribers: "What is the main problem of Belarusian entrepreneurs?" But no particular enthusiasm is observed in the comments.
Even Grebenyuk's supporters believe that his experience is not valued in Belarus: "If someone managed to earn money somewhere, they will never tell how exactly and where."
And someone jokes that Mikhail immediately voiced the main problem: "Statistics about every third resident."
