Pro-Russian politician elected Speaker of Parliament in Slovenia
The leader of the pro-Russian anti-systemic party Resni.ca, Zoran Stevanović, has been elected Speaker of the Slovenian Parliament. 48 out of 90 deputies voted for his candidacy. The election of this politician may complicate the formation of a government for the current Prime Minister Robert Golob, writes "European Truth".

Stevanović himself stated that he does not plan to enter into a coalition with either Golob or his main political rival — the right-wing conservative Janez Janša. However, his party is considered to be closer to Janša.
The country's President, Nataša Pirc Musar, must entrust the formation of the government to the politician who can gather at least 46 votes of support. She has 30 days for this.
So far, Golob has not been able to reach an agreement with other parties to gather the necessary majority. To form a government, he needs to secure the support of at least three political forces.
The situation is also complicated by the fact that several parties entered parliament, and the balance of power remains very fragmented. In addition, the elections were accompanied by a scandal: accusations emerged that Janša's team might have been linked to an information campaign against Golob involving a private intelligence company.
As a result, the political situation in Slovenia remains unstable, and the formation of a new government may be delayed.
