Car with child overturned in Slonim district

The incident occurred yesterday, April 13, around 15:16 on the Slonim — Vysokaye highway.

A 24-year-old Peugeot driver was moving from Ruzhany towards Slonim and lost control, according to the Grodno Traffic Police.

At the 18th kilometer of the highway, the girl was distracted by her six-month-old child, who was in a car seat in the front passenger seat. As a result, the car veered into the right ditch and overturned.

The mother and infant sustained injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized.
