Minsk city center is once again attracting owners of rare cars. This time, a rare car was spotted in the historic district near building No. 9 on Karl Marx Street, writes Blizko.by.

The classic American car Mercury Eight Convertible Sedan (approximately 1940 model year), which stands out with its elegant retro design, was captured on camera. The car often appeared in movies — for example, friends of John Travolta's character from the musical "Grease" drove it.

The price of a Mercury Eight Convertible Sedan on the global market for collectible cars usually ranges from 25 thousand to 60 thousand dollars, depending on its condition, while rare restored examples or custom builds can exceed 95-160 thousand dollars.

By the way, this is not the first American car from the forties seen in the Belarusian capital. Previously, on the same street, a retro model, a 1946 DeSoto Custom, was spotted. However, unlike its "brother," that car was more of a museum piece, and its owner was collecting money for its restoration.
