The incident occurred at Moscow Railway Station. Police detained the musician because the system identified him as a wanted person. However, after verification, it turned out that it was a completely different person, and he was released. The reason cited was external resemblance.
Dmitry Golyaminikh himself recounted that he was simply walking through the station when officers ran up to him and detained him. According to him, one of the police officers even checked his hair and stubble on his chin to make sure it wasn't a disguise. As a result, the musician was released, and he made his train.

The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that this was the first such system error incident and emphasized that nothing serious had happened — the person was simply checked and released.
The well-known Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon has been declared wanted in Russia. Previously, a court in absentia sentenced him to 14 years in a penal colony, accusing him of justifying terrorism, calls for aggressive war, and spreading inaccurate information about the actions of the Russian army.
