A memorial sign to the Year of the Belarusian Woman was unveiled in Nesvizh. It resembles a tombstone
In Nesvizh, on April 25, a memorial sign in honor of housing and communal services workers was solemnly unveiled. The initiative was timed to coincide with the Year of the Belarusian Woman, announced by Lukashenka. However, the appearance of the sign greatly surprised many.
The sign was installed on the embankment, where an alley of willows and apple trees was also planted.
«This event, timed to coincide with the Year of the Belarusian Woman, announced by the head of state in 2026, lays a new, wonderful tradition — to express deep respect, gratitude, and admiration for women whose conscientious work in the housing and communal services system deserves the warmest words,» the local press reports on the significance of the event.
During the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Housing and Communal Services Andrei Romashka emphasized that out of 110 thousand employees in the industry, more than 30 thousand are women who work everywhere: from boiler rooms and courtyards to offices and special transport.
However, the memorial sign to the Belarusian woman of housing and communal services was somehow erected in the form of a tombstone. Commentators did not hide their indignation.
