Facsimile of Larysa Hienijus's Manuscript Collection to be Published
Skaryna Press, in collaboration with the Francis Skaryna Belarusian Library and Museum in London, is releasing a facsimile of Larysa Hienijus's manuscript collection *Spiritus flat ubi vult. Verses 1945—1947*, writes Bellit.info.

The manuscript, which is preserved in the London Belarusian Museum, was prepared for publication by a whole team: compiler Ihar Ivanou, editor Yanina Launik, language consultants Alena Ivanoŭskaja and Sviatlana Liasovič, and designer Siarhiej Šabochin.

The poems from this manuscript were first prepared for publication and released as a separate book with an English-language foreword by Professor Arnold McMillin in 1992.
The new edition is accompanied by an introductory word from Tatsiana Astroŭskaja, 'Larysa Hienijus and the History of Belarusian Samizdat', as well as a reprint of Arnold McMillin's foreword to the first 1992 edition and Yanina Launik's foreword to the second edition with an expanded linguistic commentary.
The introductory word and forewords to both editions are published in Belarusian and English, followed by a section with deciphered and printed poems, and then the facsimile of the poet's manuscript collection itself.
The book will soon be available for purchase, primarily through the website of Skaryna Press.
An old stone building near the town hall in Mogilev was being prepared for the city museum. Now it's being turned into an office for the Russian embassy, headed by a former 'LPR' minister
