In Minsk, some streets were flooded after the rain. The elements were especially rampant in the west of the city
Heavy rain, which fell in Minsk on the night of May 8, led to flooding of streets in various parts of the city. The downpours continued into the morning, making traffic difficult in some areas, writes the publication "Nash Portal".

Residents report that water accumulated not only on the roads but also in the courtyards of residential buildings. A particularly difficult situation was observed in Kamennaya Gorka - on Kazimirouskaya, Lyutsynskaya, Nyomanskaya, and Nalibotskaya streets. Flooding was also recorded in Zhdanovichi, Sukharava, Krasny Bor, Mikhalova, and Lebyadzin.

On social media, Minsk residents massively posted videos of flooded streets. The footage shows cars literally driving through deep water, raising waves. In some areas, traffic slowed down as drivers tried to drive carefully. Public transport was also delayed in places.

For Minsk, such a situation during heavy downpours has already become common. After intense precipitation, storm sewers often fail to quickly drain large amounts of water, leading to flooding.
