In Austria, a 19-year-old Belarusian who disappeared a month ago is being searched for the fifth day. Here's what the family says

Nikita Stalyarou went to Austria alone, he has no friends there.

A 19-year-old man from Belarus has gone missing in Austria. His name is Nikita Stalyarou. He went to Europe in search of work. He last made contact on May 3. According to his relatives, he was supposed to go to the office for employment the next day, but they have no details about the employer. It is also unknown in which exact city or region the guy was before his disappearance, writes Onliner.by.

On June 1, information appeared that Nikita had been found. However, it later became known that this was not true. A family friend shares news about the search on social media.

Nikita last contacted his family on May 1. According to their information, he arrived in Vienna. It later became known that on May 3, the guy spoke with a friend. At that time, he was still in Austria, but clarified that he was already close to the border with Switzerland.

According to available information, at that moment he was in the company of at least three people, presumably Russian-speaking.

The girl told journalists that it was possible to find out where one of the last April photos was taken. The views in the photo were compared with maps. The "Federal Agency for Foreigners and Asylum" (BFA) was captured in the picture, its building is located near Vienna. Attempts have already been made to contact representatives of the organization, but no response has been received yet. His relatives have no precise assumptions as to why the guy might have been there.

The search continues. At the moment, there is no new information from the Austrian police and consulate.

Search characteristics: young man, 19 years old, medium build, light short hair.

Journalists spoke with Nikita's brother, Dzianis, and this is what he told them:

— On May 1, it was my parents' anniversary — he called to congratulate them. During the search and questioning of friends, it turned out that he spoke with one of them on May 3. And we consider the disappearance to have started on May 4, because that was his last activity on Telegram.

On May 30, we decided to start the search, as my brother had not been in contact for quite a long time, and my parents were increasingly worried.

First of all, we called everyone we could and collected all the photos they had. Then we started writing to European chats asking for help with the search; we asked if anyone knew about the places in the photos to understand where he might have moved or be — almost all locations were found quite quickly.

Then we went through official structures: the embassies of Belarus in Austria, Germany, Italy, and Poland, filed a missing person report with the police, sent inquiries to search organizations such as the Red Cross and similar European structures. Some people posted missing person notices for Nikita in Austria.

Dzianis says that Nikita is a communicative and responsible guy. At the university, he was actively involved: he participated in youth organizations, attended international conferences, and dedicated a lot of time to sports. Nikita is studying to be a manager.

The guy went to Austria alone, he has no friends there. He planned to stay in the country for a few months to earn some money. But he did not report any specific details to his relatives. According to Dzianis, the embassies helped the family check if there was any information about Nikita with the police or hospitals, but no new information was obtained. In the near future, acquaintances will try to file a missing person report with the Austrian police.
